Hello! My name is Anne Corcoron. This is my third year teaching at AsTumbo Elementary. Let me share some of my educational background. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Guam - Guam. I received my Master of Education in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama- Alabama. I also have a teaching certificate (K-6) from Drexel University- Pennsylvania. Finally, I recently earned an endorsement in English as a Second Language (ESL). I completed my student teaching at St. Mary's Episcopal School in Washington State. There, I experienced working in a multi-age classroom environment. I am a member of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), Kappa Delta Pi (KDP)- an international honor society in education, and International Reading Association (IRA).
I have been married for 11 years. We have been blessed with two children- one boy, one girl. With my husband being in the military, it has been an adventure going back and forth to the states and Guam. I love traveling to the states . I also love the color purple! The only sport I enjoy is tennis.
Unfortunately, I am not a singer, dancer, nor an artist. This is why it brings me joy when my students have such talents. I appreciate and embrace the individuality of my students. More importantly, I enjoy their company! I truly hope they leave my classroom inspired- learning a thing or two.
